2 pieces of steak (sliced 1/8 “)
3 cloves garlic (pressed or grated)
1 tbsp maple syrup
2 tbsp water
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
1-2 tsp sriracha sauce
2 tbsp oil
1 tbsp steak spice
black pepper to taste
½ tsp smoked paprika
Slice the meat into 1/8 “ in thickness.
Marinate the meat for 24 hours in the fridge.
Discard the liquid and insert the pieces of meat on skewers as seen in the video.
Let it cook 2 ½ – 3 feet above an open fire with good coals using slow & steady heat for about 3-4 hours or more depending on the weather. It was very windy when I done mine so it took me about 4 ½ hours in total.
The meat is done when the moisture is completely out of the meat (dehydrated).
This is a fast jerky that we like to do once in a while at camp. It was fun tending the fire all afternoon, cooking some jerky and at the same time just having fun around the campsite. We had it for supper with some rice and a few veggies! Folks, it was delicious! I hope that you’ll get to try the recipe. Enjoy!
