I love green salad! I can eat it with fish, chicken, pork, beef and even anything fried. We like salad at home and we always make our own mixture. I like a colorful salad because I like the different burst of flavors that I get from the ingredients.

Dressing? If you look in my fridge you will only fine one bottle of cucumber dressing which we keep for my mother-in-law when she comes because it’s her favorite. But other than that I have no other bottles of salad dressing because we always use this same simple homemade dressing.

What’s fun about this is that you can put any veggies you like!

Ingredients:

Mixed Greens of your choice

Cherry tomatoes

Green onions

Carrots

Radish

Red Pepper

Hemp seed or your favorite seeds

Salt and pepper to taste

Salad herbs

Dressing:

 2 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp balsamic vinegar

1 tsp maple syrup or honey

1 clove garlic (finely grated)

TIPS:

Shake the bottle of Balsamic Vinegar before you use it to get the sweet and sour flavor of the vinegar.

You may also eat this salad with some hard-boiled eggs which makes an easy and simple lunch!

So, what about you? How do you like your salad? Please feel free to share. I like this salad with egg rolls! One of our favorites at home is serving this green salad with Fried Rice and Fried Haddock Fillets. Simply delicious!
